  • Sneh Sansar

    District

Commencing in June 2008 and sustained until April 2013, 'Sneh Sansar,' translating to 'Loving World' in Hindi, served as a sanctuary for children orphaned by AIDS. Acting as a home away from home, this initiative, albeit with limited resources, provided essential infrastructure and basic amenities to accommodate up to 10 children at a time. Initially, priority was extended to children orphaned due to AIDS in the first batch. The establishment of 'Sneh Sansar' was made possible through the generous contributions of individual donors and the support mobilized locally by the Inner Wheel Club-Ajmer.

  • Composite Target Intervention (TI)

    District

The project had the objective of preventing the transmission of HIV within high-risk communities, specifically focusing on sex workers and individuals identifying as homosexuals. The efforts involved counselling these communities on practicing safe sex, providing education about AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Additionally, it conducted sessions to raise awareness among others in these communities about the stigma associated with HIV-infected individuals. It ensured the provision of necessary medical treatment, enabling people living with HIV to lead a life of dignity. Funding for this project was secured through the Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society (RSACS).

  • Bal Sansar Public School (BSPS), Ajmer

Bal Sansar Public School (BSPS) is committed to achieving the following objectives:
    • Delivering high-quality pre and primary education to rural children within the Ajmer district, with plans for gradual expansion up to elementary and senior secondary levels.
    • Implementing a pre-school education program focused on preparing children for school, fostering the development of multiple intelligences through age-appropriate physical and life-skill activities, as well as cognitive training that enhances their sensory perception and creativity.
    • Striving to offer culturally sensitive and environmentally friendly quality education that provides comprehensive development opportunities for its students. Many of these students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and a significant number are the first in their families to pursue formal education.

  • 1. Bal Sansar Public School (BSPS), Ajmer since April-2013

    District

BSPS aims to provide quality education to the children from play group to elementary level (till grade 8th), under private school registration rules of the government of Rajasthan. Further, we aim to provide quality education till senior secondary level in proximity, particularly in the case of girls. The main reason for girls’ dropout after fifth and further after 8th grads’ education is ‘not being allowed to go far from their village’ to continue their education till senior secondary, and beyond. Our pre-school education is the school readiness programme with development of multiple intelligence of children with age appropriate physical and life-skill activities, cognitive training of senses and creativity of children. The 2023-24 session enrolled 120 kids (with a ratio of 60:40 girls: boys) from the surrounding villages, most of them come from humble background (80 percent parents are engaged in labour with poor paying capacity). We aim to provide them quality education enabling them to claim equal development and growth opportunities in the life Only 50% children pay their fees (which is very nominal), and we are running this school with lots of financial difficulties. Parents are daily wage labourers and education of their children is not a priority for them.
We need to mobilize resources to develop essential infrastructure, setting up smart classes, improving seating arrangements for the students, and even support our faculty /school operations and hence, we appeal to the people who can afford to spare some of their earnings for these poor children / supporting their education and development (even contributing as minimum as INR 2500 (or 30 USD) per month will support education of two children).

  • 2. Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute-SEDI’ (April-2013- continued)

Currently, computer education, photography classes and sewing courses are initiated. BSS has been approved as a registered TI training centre by the Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Ltd. (RKCL), GoR http://rkcl.in for running two courses namely RS-CIT (Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology) and RS-CFA (Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Financial Accounting).
