Motivated by compassion, he rallied his peers in Jaipur to extend aid to the people of Bhuj, the earthquake's epicenter. Swiftly, they organized the shipment of ten trucks loaded with essentials, food, and relief supplies across the state. Their assistance reached the affected communities shortly after Swiss aid, highlighting the impact of even a small group with sincere intentions. This experience spurred Mr. Jajoo to identify other areas where urban Jaipur required assistance, such as waste management, healthcare, and environmental initiatives. Despite efforts to shift the mindset within slum communities, he recognized that inadequate education lay at the root of their challenges, with entrenched beliefs posing a significant obstacle. In 2011, Jagriti took decisive steps to revolutionize education for slum children. Recognizing that no child should endure substandard uniforms, unhygienic schools, and inadequate guidance—the grim reality in many urban government schools—Jagriti resolved to take matters into its own hands to drive change.
