Programs

  • Residential and Daycare Training centre for persons with Mental Retardation

    Established in 1990 with just three students, this centre for individuals with Mental Retardation has expanded its reach to serve disabled populations in urban, semi-urban, and rural areas. Currently, the centre accommodates 130 students, with an additional 45 on a waiting list. The expert team includes a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Speech Therapist, Physiotherapist, Special Educator, and Social Worker who oversee the training. The centre’s services are open to everyone, regardless of religion, caste, creed, or socio-economic status.
    Upon admission, individuals with Mental Retardation receive Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, and training in activities of daily living, communication skills, social interaction skills, and foundational reading, writing, and arithmetic. Each student's program is tailored based on assessments by the team.

  • Vocational training unit

    The organisation offers pre-vocational and vocational training to adults with mental retardation, empowering 40 individuals to enhance their economic independence. They receive training in trades like tailoring & embroidery, candle making, phenyl and cleaning powder production, paper bags, carry bags, book binding, and envelope making.

  • Home for the aged

    Anuraag human services initiated a home for the elderly, welcoming those aged 60 and above, regardless of caste, creed, religion, or economic background. The services encompass medical, psychological, occupational, and recreational rehabilitation, along with boarding and lodging. Currently, it houses 25 elderly individuals, and it plans to expand the services by establishing a Senior Citizens' day care centre to accommodate more seniors in the future.

  • Family counselling centre

    Recognizing evolving socio-cultural dynamics, it is observed that individuals grappling with issues that, if left unaddressed, can lead to personal crises and family distress. To aid such individuals and families, Anuraag human services has established a Family Counseling Center. Currently, the centre serves a minimum of 25 people monthly, addressing problems such as alcoholism, dowry-related issues, marital disputes, psychological challenges, extramarital relationships, abandonment, and bigamy.
