Anjali Hospital, founded in 1989, started as Gramin Arogya Kendra in a rented house in Ranasan village, later expanding to new premises. With support from donors and the Share & Care Foundation, construction began in 1991, and the hospital opened in 1993. Initially offering basic healthcare, it now provides specialized services like gynaecology and psychiatry. Operating on a pro-poor policy, it collaborates with government programs and conducts outreach initiatives. It aims to evolve into a highly subsidized secondary healthcare facility to meet the increasing demand for specialized services and address the rising prevalence of non-communicable diseases in rural areas.

Outreach Programme
District
Sabar Kantha

Gujarat
Anjali Society for Rural Health and Development has been actively involved in outreach services since its establishment in 1989, aiming to assist the needy and underprivileged in interior villages. Initial efforts included Tuberculosis detection programs and annual eye camps for cataract operations, among others. Eye camps held regularly since 1995 in remote tribal areas, provide examinations, spectacles, and surgeries as needed, with follow-up care also provided. Surgical operation camps, conducted 15 years ago, offer elective surgeries such as hernia repairs and tumour removals, with follow-up care provided locally. These initiatives have significantly benefited rural communities, promoting access to essential healthcare services.
