Engaging in various initiatives, such as the Vivekananda Institute of Vocational Training & Entrepreneurial Competence (VIVEC), Business Process Outsourcing Learning Center for Tribal Youths, Adult Literacy for Women, Youth Development Centers, and the School Support Program, SFT addresses the educational challenges faced by tribal and desert communities. Recognizing education as a lower priority due to poor infrastructure and migration, SFT initiated the School Support Program, focusing on teacher capacity building and instilling ethical and value-based education. VIVEC, established under a public-private partnership, provides vocational training to tribal youths, enhancing their skills and employability in diverse fields, and leading to meaningful employment opportunities. Additionally, SFT promotes computer literacy to empower communities with essential digital skills.

SFT initially addressed local needs for accessible health facilities and increased agricultural productivity. Extending its community development efforts to Tribal Chhotaudepur in 1996, SFT engaged in watershed and soil conservation programmes, involving the tribal community at every stage. Over two decades, SFT supported health, handicraft, education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable agriculture in Chhotaudepur, fostering transformative change. Building local leadership, known as Samaj Shilpis, SFT aims for community-based organisations (CBOs) to sustain and advance development initiatives, emphasizing the involvement of local youth for program implementation and long-term sustainability.
