Around 2,000 out of 20,000 participants are placed in 52 centres near their homes, emphasizing parental support. Every three months, they undergo intense training, often led by foreign coaches. SEPT organizes tournaments, exposing trainees to competitive football. Outstanding trainees represent SEPT in Indian and international tournaments, with notable successes in Europe. It is the only Indian youth team with a standing invitation to European events and has also participated in tournaments in Malaysia and the Dubai Super Cup in 2012.

SEPT's selection process involves identifying talented children under the age of nine through rigorous trials conducted at various centres, guided by a team of experts. Out of the 20,000 participants, approximately 2,000 are selected and distributed among fifty-two centers for intensive training by local professional coaches. Each batch of 25 children undergoes three training sessions a week, lasting 2 hours each, with additional sessions during holidays. Every three months, the chosen trainees come together for intensive coaching, often led by foreign youth coaches. SEPT also ensures its resident trainers receive periodic refresher courses to stay updated with global football training techniques. The organisation promotes competitive football by organizing regular district and inter-centre tournaments. Selected players even gained international exposure by participating in tournaments in Sweden and Finland, where SEPT's team achieved notable success.
