Jeevan Jyothi Federation (Empowering Women)
District
Bangalore Rural
States
Karnataka
The federation supports women's empowerment in a number of ways, including
Obtaining loans from several sources: Mahasangha and Jeevan Jyothi Federation are two sources of loans available to SHGs. Increased emphasis is being placed on SHGs obtaining loans from the Federation at lower interest rates in order to lessen their reliance on banks and other microfinance institutions.
Resolving different problems at different levels. Problems at the SHG level are settled individually; SHG problems are submitted before Mahasanghas, while district-level problems are brought before the JJF. Women can now speak up about a variety of issues at the district and even higher levels.
Through a variety of revenue-generating initiatives, the mother federation contributes to the expansion and long-term viability of the federation.
As women invest in federation shares, savings grow. Membership dues, fines, and other expenses contribute to the federation's revenue at various levels.

In two districts, Hassan and Chikmagalur, the district-level organization for disabled people, Sarvodhaya Vikalachethanara Okkuta, was established in 2016. There are currently 155 VDPOs, 9 TDPOs, and 2 DDPOs operating in the districts of Hassan and Chikmagalur.
Skill development for the physically disabled:
The skill development covers both interpersonal and employment skills, such as communication and personality development, as well as technical abilities like email and computer basics and spoken and written English. Training is followed by job placement assistance through nearby businesses
