The apex body of Karnataka's dairy cooperative movement is the Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation Limited (KMF). Among all the dairy coo Read moreperatives in the nation, it is the second biggest. Both in terms of sales and procurement, it leads South India. The Federation's marketing of milk and milk products is one of its main responsibilities. The popular brand name for fresh and pure milk and milk products is "Nandini". KMF has sixteen Milk Unions that span every district in the state. These unions buy milk from Primary Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCS) and then deliver it to customers in different Karnataka towns, cities, and rural markets.

The programme promotes the goal of providing women with opportunities for skill enhancement and long-term employment through a range of action-oriented projects that employ a large number of women.
