Programs

  • Health Hygiene and Nutrition Camps

    States

    Madhya Pradesh

The region's inhabitants, particularly women, face a lack of awareness regarding health, nutrition, and hygiene-related issues. Consequently, various programs were organized to address these pressing needs. Health camps were conducted in villages such as Nagda, Bhangad, Rajoda, Baloda, Karnakhedi, Bhangarh, Palnagar, Rajeev Nagar, and Anwatpura with the aim of providing improved healthcare to these vulnerable populations. Utilizing street plays and other local and traditional communication methods, efforts were made to raise awareness about health and hygiene-related topics.

  • Veterinary Camps

    States

    Madhya Pradesh

Lack of awareness of veterinary health issues poses significant challenges for livestock owners in maintaining the health of their animals, a crucial aspect of agricultural activity. To address this, veterinary camps were organized in Baloda, aiming to offer basic veterinary health facilities at low cost. These camps, conducted in collaboration with the district veterinary service department, provided essential health services, including equipment and a team of doctors. They addressed various issues such as viral infections, bacteriological concerns (like Golghutu, Anthrax, Roktha, etc.), and informed attendees about available vaccines for such diseases, emphasizing the importance of crossbreeding and primary animal care. The services were facilitated by Dr. Jyoti Kataria from the veterinary health service.

  • Education and Awareness

    States

    Madhya Pradesh

The increase in education and literacy levels within the community is a direct result of CONCEPT's initiatives and programs. Extensive awareness campaigns for education have been conducted by the organization in the Dewas and Mhow regions. One notable program, the Tara Akshar Programme, a computer-based literacy initiative, was implemented in Dewas with the goal of teaching illiterate individuals to read and write Hindi within 35 days. Students participated in 100-minute classes daily, resulting in a highly effective learning method. As part of these efforts, CONCEPT organized literacy campaigns specifically targeting illiterate individuals, with a particular emphasis on women. The organization successfully conducted the Tara Akshar literacy program across seven centers, enrolling approximately 168 women candidates over three consecutive cycles, all of whom passed the examination.

  • Livelihood Upgradation and Women Development

    States

    Madhya Pradesh

CONCEPT has empowered marginalized women through the formation of 70 Self Help Groups (SHGs), involving 2500 women in skill training and sustainable livelihood practices. The organization educates adolescent girls on various topics and hosts self-awareness events annually on International Women's Day. By prioritizing SHGs, CONCEPT promotes self-sustenance and decision-making among members, leading to the formation of 48 new SHGs last year. These efforts enable women to engage in self-banking, livelihood upgradation, and income generation training, fostering sustainable income and improved quality of life.
