LabourNet aims to formalize the informal sector and improve the socio-economic status of people associated with it. The organisation provides vocation Read moreal education to people and the education program is so designed that people can join and exit whenever they want and pursue the vocation. It also provides people with full-time and part-time career opportunities in the informal sector. The organisation also encourages the spirit of entrepreneurship by mentoring and incubating the startups started by people under its care. LabourNet has trained 2866 individuals in professions like dairy farming and animal health with the help of corporate giants like Apollo Tyres Foundation and Mahindra & Mahindra. It has also conducted skill development workshops for construction workers. The programs have improved work coordination, waste management, productivity levels and safety standards apart from improving the worker's confidence level. It has trained 4500 workers in the plumbing and furniture industry together and has helped them find stable jobs in companies like Godrej. The organisation has trained women in the clothing sector by improving their sewing and stitching skills. Apart from these, the organisation has made a measurable impact on the IT, manufacturing, personal service and transportation sector. The organization has made efforts to enable 5 lakh people to earn their livelihoods.
