The WISE program is a groundbreaking initiative designed to bridge the knowledge and skill gaps between businesses and rural communities of people with disabilities. It introduces model training centers aimed at equipping youth with disabilities with job readiness training, personality development, and pathways to sustainable employment. In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the program has adopted a hybrid approach to training. All trainees receive assistive devices and uniforms.
This training serves as a vital opportunity for youth with disabilities, empowering them to become independent and confident while lifting their families out of poverty. The program accepts participants from the 10th standard onwards.
Since 2014, the Axis Bank Foundation has been the most significant donor for the WISE program, contributing to its continued success and impact.
