    Children from neighboring villages come from impoverished backgrounds and face challenging economic conditions. At the Ashrama, these students receive complimentary tutoring, psychological assistance, and access to a nurturing environment that promotes holistic development. The infrastructure for the Ashrama has been established through generous contributions from organizations such as Rotary Club, Ramakrishna Mission-Bankura, CSR-DSP-SAIL, Nabadiganta Tapasya Foundation, Calcutta Foundation, and individual donors. Imerys Steelcasting India Private Limited is also contributing to the construction of the main gate of PAF, benefiting both the Ashram and the children it serves.

    Purbachal Ananda Foundation operates shelters for urban homeless individuals, including those who are destitute, elderly, infirm, and wandering. Previously, these individuals were forced to live outdoors in various parts of the city. These shelters operate in collaboration with the respective Municipal Corporations and offer a safe haven for urban homeless individuals. They receive essential services such as food, medical care, life skills training, education, and entertainment. Currently, there are five shelters operational at different locations: Durgapur, Howrah, Habra, Jamuria-Asansol, and Naihati, serving a total of 150 people. These shelters are managed by Purbachal Ananda Foundation in partnership with local Municipal Corporations under the National Urban Livelihood Mission Project.
