Issue

As per 2011 census, 1196 people are disabled in a population of 100000 people in the age group of 0-19.Children suffer from mobility impairments due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other congenital disabilities. Lack of access to proper orthopedic aids and physiotherapy often leads to further deterioration in their physical condition, limiting their opportunities for education, social participation, and overall well-being. This project seeks to bridge the gap by providing right orthopedic aids and intense physiotherapy at the right time thereby promoting inclusivity and self-reliance among these children.

Programs

  • Free orthopedic aids to children

Children with limb deformities require a comprehensive treatment plan that includes physiotherapy, surgery, plaster casts, and corrective orthopedic aids. Timely access to the orthopedic aids and physiotherapy is crucial, as delays can significantly reduce the effectiveness of other treatments. For children requiring corrective surgeries, the absence of timely orthopedic aids often led to relapses in their condition. Without proper support, many struggled to attend school, and in some cases, this resulted in lifelong mobility challenges.
To address this gap, we collaborate with hospitals that lack the facilities to provide orthopedic aids for children. By doing so, we minimize delays, bridge the disconnect between doctors, patients, and technicians responsible for producing these aids, and alleviate the stress parents face in securing the right support for their child.
Since 2014, we have been providing essential orthopedic aids free of charge, ensuring that every child receives the care they need without unnecessary delays.

  • Free physiotherapy to children

    District

Physiotherapy plays a crucial role in a child's growth and development, especially for those with physical disabilities, injuries, or mobility challenges. It helps improve muscle strength, coordination, and flexibility, enabling children to perform daily activities with greater ease and independence. For children with conditions like cerebral palsy or limb deformities, consistent physiotherapy aids in improving posture, balance, and movement, ultimately enhancing their quality of life and enabling them to participate more actively in school and social activities.

We started a free physiotherapy center for children in February 2024 dedicated to providing specialized care to enhance mobility, strength, and overall well-being. Equipped with modern facilities and expert therapists, we offer personalized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs. Our goal is to ensure early intervention, prevent complications, and support children in achieving greater independence in their daily lives. Through a compassionate and holistic approach, we strive to improve their quality of life and help them reach their full potential.
