Bachpan Banao

Through its Sapno ki Shala and Samata School initiatives, it aims to prepare a demonstrative model for Government schools. By adopting a Government school and engaging a member from Bachpan Banao in the internal functioning of the school and bringing about systemic change, it plans to create an example for other Government schools to bring about similar changes in their functioning.

The School Transformation Programme aims to transform the quality of school education by establishing community-owned schools which offer quality education through contributions from all stakeholders including parents, teachers, community members and government officials. It plans to create a demonstrative example through these schools to encourage other schools to follow a similar strategy for improving their quality of education.

Through its Mawa School (meaning Our School in the local language) initiative, it aims to establish and operate community-owned model schools to deliver quality education and teach traditional values to children. It is a two-phase project where the initiation phase involves deliberations with various stakeholders on various developmental issues relating to each school followed by the development of each school, which is evaluated through regular meetings and collective decisions are taken for further development.
