It also endeavors to safeguard consumers' rights against unfair trade practices that may be employed by manufacturers and traders.
Consumers' rights include protection against the marketing of goods hazardous to life and property, the right to expect quality, quantity, standard, purity, and price of goods, as well as protection against unfair trade practices. Consumers also have the right to be heard and assured that their interests will be given due consideration at relevant forums, and the right to consumer education.
