The American India Foundation’s (AIF) MANSI program targets adolescent girls in the remote, hilly, and underdeveloped areas of Paderu Mandal in Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh, and the mountainous villages of Haridwar block in Uttarakhand. AIF selected Agragami to enhance the skills of frontline communicators working with these adolescent girls in both states.

The program’s goal is to empower these girls with essential adolescent health education, addressing issues such as undernutrition, anemia, menstrual hygiene, early sexual debut, early marriage, and childbearing. Additionally, the girls received crucial information on newborn care, which they can apply when they become mothers at an appropriate age.

Agragami provided the communicators with the necessary materials and tools to effectively engage with and educate the adolescents.
