Children's Programme
In engaging with children, Ankur program refrains from viewing them solely through a lens of deficiency, instead focusing on leveraging their inherent knowledge and utilizing their neighborhoods as valuable learning resources. The program serves as a co-traveler in the storytelling journey, emphasizing reflection, narration, and imagination to foster the exploration and demonstration of children's potential. The Learning Collective (6-10 years) provides an open space for children to celebrate curiosity, spontaneity, and self-creation, fostering learning experiences through peer interaction. Meanwhile, the Club (10-14 years) and Library (10-14 years) initiatives aim to affirm children's narratives, offering spaces for creative expression, storytelling, and active reading, thereby revitalizing intellectual life within the community while nurturing a passion for learning beyond traditional educational confines.

Youth Programme
In Ankur's efforts to empower young men and women from working-class backgrounds, the focus is on creating spaces for self-learning and critical dialogue. The goal is to cultivate confident individuals who are deeply connected to their surroundings, capable of shaping their own destinies and contributing positively to their communities. Through initiatives like the Young Women’s Collective (14-24 years), which emphasizes peer networking and creative expression to foster self-respect and assertiveness, and the Mohalla Media Labs (14-24 years), providing opportunities for digital media engagement and local storytelling, Ankur endeavors to equip youth with the skills and confidence needed to navigate life's challenges and pursue their aspirations.
