CInI's vision is to make a sustainable difference in the quality of life of rural-tribal communities in the Central Indian Tribal Belt, with a mission to bring 200,000 households irreversibly out of poverty with increased quality of life.

Programs

  • Lakhpati Kisan Program

    The Lakhpati Kisan Program by CInI empowers tribal farmers in Central India by addressing challenges like unpredictable rainfall, high costs, and low yields. Through crop diversification, high-value crops, and reliable irrigation, LKP enhances agricultural productivity and income. It also promotes alternative livelihoods, including livestock and Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFP), to secure steady earnings and mitigate risks. The Charkha to Market (Antaran) initiative in South Odisha revitalizes handloom weaving by fostering entrepreneur-led microenterprises, encouraging the younger generation to sustain this traditional craft while boosting rural livelihoods.

  • Healthcare

    The Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) initiative by CInI, in collaboration with the National Health Mission, aims to make quality healthcare accessible in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Focused on tribal communities, the program enhances primary healthcare through the development of Model Health and Wellness Centers (HWCs) and Urban Primary Health Centers (UPHCs). By integrating sustainable technologies and empowering Community Healthcare Workers, HSS ensures comprehensive care, including disease control and mental health support. This initiative aligns with Ayushman Bharat's vision of equitable healthcare, fostering healthier communities and improving pandemic readiness.
