Targeted Intervention Project Man Having Sex with Man and Transgender Communities
Reducing the rate of transmission among the most vulnerable and marginalized populations is the aim of the targeted intervention program. Implementing multi-pronged strategies for direct intervention programs among these groups—behaviour change communication, counselling, health care support, STD treatment, and the creation of an environment that will support behaviour change—is one way to prevent the disease from spreading further. One of the most crucial elements of Phase V of the National AIDS Control Programme is targeted intervention.
