Programs

  • Child Protection : Family Based programs and Residential Programs

The child protection systems in India face imminent threats, emphasizing the necessity of alternative measures beyond placement in institutional homes for safeguarding children's rights. Educational interventions within community settings offer viable support to both children and their families, mitigating the need for separation. Indian legislation mandates the regulation of children's home placements as part of educational initiatives in open environments. TARA collaborates closely with Indian authorities and upholds the principles outlined in the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child to ensure comprehensive protection for children.

TARA BIG BIRDS : AFTERCARE PROGRAM
TARA Big Birds is an after-care program for young adults who grew up in TARA Homes. It assists them in pursuing higher education and or vocational training, and part-time jobs. The young adults who grew up in TARA, like many boys and
girls their age, have to learn how to handle their adult life while studying and working at the same time. They live in an independent flat and are gradually encouraged to gain independence and contribute to their daily expenses.
Meanwhile, TARA provides them with material, psychological, and educational support until they are self-sufficient.
