Psycho-Educational Society (PES) is an NGO with the prime objective of uplifting the less-privileged children in rural areas by providing basic educat Read moreion and creating awareness among the illiterate women on family welfare, health education and personal hygiene. Eminent psychologist and educationist, Dr. T.R. Paliwal, started the society after his retirement to work for the poor, underprivileged downtrodden section of society in rural areas to impart education, health, and overall development. The secretary K.M. Paliwal has a clear mission to uplift the rural underprivileged section of the society by running formal educational programs and vocational training. PES established the B.D.Paliwal school in the year 2000 in interior areas of Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. Close to 500 students have successfully completed 8th grade. In addition to imparting education in the formal mode, the school also conducts skill development programs for girls and village women in tailoring, embroidery, knitting, and agriculture. Over a 100 rural women have benefited from these programs.


Issue

In rural areas the parents do not send the girl child to school for education and prefer to retain them at home to work for the house hold activities while they go to work in fields. During the crop session the adult boys remain absent in the classes and goes to filed to work with their parents. and generate money.


Action

We educate 300 Boys (55%) & Girls (45%) in BDP School Village Baruli Block Baldev District Mathra U.P. India. The boys and girls are from poor family whos parents income is under BPL. We uplift the rural children by giving value added education from class nursery to Class VIII . The education is conducted need basis by trained teachers we employ about 15 Teachers the school is well is having all the required facilities such as pukka 14 room RCC building, well ventilated with modern fittings and stand by DG set for continuous electricity the school is equipped to learn and teach with science lab computer lab, cooking kitchen, tailoring and handicaps facilities. We conduct education as per the prescribed curriculum of U.P. Board of education and along with skill development training so as to make the students learn the money generating skills which helps them to add their family income.

We teach the students on a subsidized fees or free education depends on their family income thus the students come to school and get education. Child labor is avoided. Students during the education their personality is developed and they become responsible citizen of india and contributes towards the growth of the country.

Milestones & Track Record

Educated 250 Rural less privileged children from Class Nursery to 8th in year 2021-22. Giving Vocational Training 42 Girls and give them the Value Added Education to earn and add to their family income. The main challenges faced are to persuade to sent girl child to school since they prefer to engaged them in house and field work.
