Sesame Workshop India's mission is to help children reach their full potential. It uses innovative ways to reach children wherever they may be, whethe Read morer in communities, Anganwadis, or homes. It uses fun and impactful tools to help with early numeracy and literacy, as well as lessons on health and hygiene while also training parents on how to play with their children to enhance learning. All of their activities are centred around playfulness and fun. Since 2006, Sesame Workshop India has been dedicated to helping children in various regions of India. It has worked in Kolkata to teach children about hygiene and health and has implemented a financial literacy program in Jharkhand to help children understand the importance of saving towards their goals. Additionally, it has reached out to children of migrant labourers across Rajasthan and Haryana with fun and memorable lessons on early literacy and numeracy via radio and mobile phone. Sesame Workshop India has become popular, with its muppets like Chamki, Elmo, and Grover leading the way in promoting gender equality, education, nutrition, and WASH.

Learn To Read, Read To Learn Programme
StateImproving reading skills in children is vital for their academic success and development, but many children struggle to read at grade level. The Learn to Read, Read to Learn project in Bihar used technology to engage primary grade children and accelerate their reading skills. Participating children showed improvement in 3 out of 5 reading indicators, with significant progress in initial sound identification and oral reading fluency.

Building Communities of Change Programme
Sesame Workshop India used radio and mobile technologies to create attractive programmes that educated communities in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh on diarrhoea prevention and management. It led to a significant improvement in knowledge of diarrhoea symptoms and ORS preparation. This initiative had a direct impact on the rational and socio-emotional skills of children and helped to prevent diarrhoea.

Hello Tomorrow Programme
Sesame Workshop India used mobile technology and radio to reach children in marginalized communities who lack access to regular schools. The "Hello Tomorrow" project, using a "missed-call" system provided educational content for free to users on their mobile phones. Children exposed to Galli Galli Sim Sim content materials showed a three times improvement in vocabulary and storytelling ability.

Improving The Quality Of Early Childhood Development in ICDS, Uttarakhand
StateThis programme aimed to improve early learning outcomes in Anganwadis in Uttarakhand by providing innovative materials and multimedia tools to Anganwadi workers. The play-based material included storybooks, Akshar Shabd cards, and shape cut-outs. The programme also aimed to increase community involvement in early childhood development.

Learn, Play, Grow Programme
StateThe 'Learn, Play, Grow' initiative aimed to help Anganwadi workers in Uttar Pradesh to make early learning engaging and effective. It used play-based Galli Galli Sim Sim (GGSS) early study materials to develop budding literacy skills in preschool children. It focused on developing vocabulary, phonological awareness, letter knowledge, narrative skills, print motivation and print awareness.
