SOHF employs diverse strategies like action programmes, event management, camps and meetings, leadership development and training, and counselling to create an inclusive society that values and supports these communities. It envisions providing quality education to underprivileged children, nurturing their holistic growth, and equipping them to become valuable contributors to society. It acts as a catalyst by imparting knowledge, skills, and infrastructure to empower the less fortunate sections, thereby fostering socio-economic equilibrium. Operating in various thematic areas like academics, water sanitation and hygiene, human rights advocacy, women's and gender rights, as well as environmental conservation, SOHF's objectives encompass education, health, skill development, environmental preservation, and livelihood promotion.

Impact

Shades of Happiness Foundation has made an impact with 300 workshops conducted, educating 500 children and achieving 100% school enrolment, 3432 teaching hours; additionally, its efforts have led to the employment of 20 women, empowerment of 220 women, distribution of 500 reusable sanitary pads, education of 25 girls, distribution of 15 PPE kits, and engagement of 1000 volunteers online and 300 offline.

  • 365 Days 365 Girls Programme

    The "365 Days 365 Girls: A Menstrual Health Initiative" aims to empower one girl daily to become an advocate for Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH), both for herself and her community. Through this project, it strives to create a network of 365 adolescent girl champions who will serve as peer educators, spreading awareness on menstrual hygiene to at least 5 girls in their communities. By enhancing self-image, improving the quality of life, promoting hygiene, reducing school dropouts, and empowering women, this initiative seeks to bring positive change at the community level.

  • Neev Programme

    Since 2009, the Shades of Happiness Foundation (SOHF) has been running an initiative called NEEV, aimed at enriching the lives of underprivileged children and their families through education and empowerment. As part of this flagship project, a Non-Formal Education Centre operates at St. Columba's School, catering to economically disadvantaged children from slums in Central Delhi. Over the past 6 years, NEEV has positively impacted the lives of more than 500 children, thanks to the dedicated efforts of nearly 400 volunteers.
