Shanti Sahyog organisation is actively involved in various initiatives with social impact. Its activities include quality education, skill development Read more, health care and livelihood development. It has multiple projects which aim to bring development and facilities to the rural and poor population. In addition to unemployment, illiteracy and drug addiction, poor slum dwellers often have low mortality rates of both adults and children as a result of UN-HABITAT's basic living conditions not being met. The Shanti Sahyog team consists of 42 people working in 17 urban slums in the south Delhi Area, including Kalaji/Govindpuri and Tughlakabad.

Shanti Sahyog Play / Pre Schools
Shanti Sahyog, through its pre/play schools focuses largely on the education of children coming from underprivileged background.. AWith a total of 3 schools the organization ensures quality education to children.In addition to integrating arts, dance and music into the curriculum these schools focus on holistic child development. In addition to sponsoring primary . They offer non-formal education to school dropouts and adult women, encouraging them to pursue formal degrees for better employment prospects. Shanti Sahyog's mission centers on breaking the cycle of poverty through education and empowering the community.

Health/Dental Centre
Medical care is made available in various slums to the underprivileged through the health centre setup by Shanti Sahyog. Consultations, treatments and free medicine is readily made available to patients. As a part of centre's activities, free dental camps are held and as well as health, eye and cancer camos were held where screenings are performed and necessary interventions offered. Holistic care was added to their services in 2017 with the addition of a homeopathic clinic.

Skill Development Centres
As a part of its effort to enhance employability, the organization operates skill development centres in Kalkaji and Tughlakabad village. A variety of courses are offered including Tally ERP 9, tailoring and cutting as well as basic and advanced computer skills. The intensive trainings have helped over 2000 people secure jobs, and has helped empower women for find a wide range of self employment opportunities.

PANKHI Project
With the support of TBZ's CSR project PANKHI, Shanti Sahyog's Centre for women helped Domestic Violence victims in Tughlakabad village in 2019.Their services include counseling, legal aid,leadership training, shelter arrangements, premarital workshops and self-defence workshops. This initiative will include a helpline, virtual sessions and community engagement, and later, the initiative will be expanded to 17 additional slums in Kalkaji/Govindpuri.
