Smile Foundation has actively worked towards uplifting the children from underserved communities. It also focuses on women and families as a whole. Read more Its core focus areas are education, health, livelihood support, skill development and women empowerment. It considers these factors as the major pillars for proper growth and development of the child & families. Its work also highlights the importance of creating a better tomorrow, empowering youth and self-sufficient women by addressing all these factors around their lives. It practices a lifecycle approach that addresses the basic needs of an individual and the community at large- health, education & livelihood. Smile Foundation has been recognised by ICSI for rendering valuable services under Social Responsibility, won awards for NGO Leadership & Excellence Award and Global CSR Excellence & Leadership Award by ABP News in 2014 and 2015 respectively and has won other awards which include Quality Initiative Mission Award 2013. Smile Foundation has been accredited with GlobalGiving which is an international organisation that provides funds to support groups delivering help to the needy.


Issue

Children from poor communities find it difficult to access good education, women, don't have networks to connect to other women for support to get their healthcare and other issues resolved and youth suffer due to lack of skills and employment.


Action

Smile Foundation follows a lifecycle approach to implement multiple welfare programmes which are focussed on providing education to children, healthcare to families besides empowering women and imparting skill based training to youth to enable gainful employment.
