Rural education program
SRF Foundation is dedicated to enhancing education and literacy levels in rural India while supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds in achieving their full potential. Through its Rural Education Program (REP), the foundation aims to provide quality education to children in rural areas, ensuring equal opportunities for all to benefit from India's economic growth.
The success of REP is made possible through partnerships with local communities, government bodies, and like-minded corporates. These collaborations have played a crucial role in launching and implementing innovative and impactful programs under the program's umbrella.
By working hand in hand with various stakeholders, SRF Foundation strives to create a positive and transformative impact on rural education. -
Vocational training
In partnership with Schneider Electric India, SRF Foundation has been implementing the Schneider Electric Basic Electrician Training Program (BETP) in Mewat since 2011. The program has expanded to Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, and Gummidipoondi, Tamil Nadu, in the past year.
The primary objective of the 4-month BETP is to provide training in the electrician trade to young individuals. The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines practical and theoretical knowledge, equipping trainees with the necessary skills for the electrician profession. Additionally, the program includes the imparting of entrepreneurial skills, encouraging trainees to explore self-employment opportunities.
In 2014, SRF Foundation introduced the JCB & Forklift Operator training program in Manali, near Chennai. The program focuses on equipping youth with the necessary skills to operate, manage, and maintain JCB and Forklift machinery effectively. -
