The Antara Foundation is active in the space of public health delivery. It encourages communities to demand better health services, building robust so Read morelutions using available data and partnering with stakeholders to act for the greater good. It intends to impact maternal and child health, mortality and nutrition positively by involving the community on the ground and engaging with frontline workers. It is present in the States of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh joining hands with Government agencies, encouraging ecosystems, developing solutions to link frontline health workers and overall, it aims to improve and enable the delivery of public health and nutrition solutions to scale up to State and National levels.
Issue
Communities are not informed and well aware of their healthcare rights and fail to demand the same from Government agencies, visibility and interaction between frontline workers are not well established and there is no eco-system available to connect the Government and stakeholders.
Action
Antara Foundation focuses on creating systems which help communities to be served efficiently in the context of healthcare. It has developed applications and technologies which connect frontline workers to act in unison to improve reach and provide effective healthcare services.
Cause Area
Impact
The Foundations efforts have led to the availability of data for over 1,600 pregnant women for antenatal check-ups, over 1,500 deliveries, and more than 11,500 children till the age of six being recorded using the Integrated AAA App, the reach of health workers increased to 15,000 workers and 45,000 villages due to the use of rationalised registers.

AAA Platform
StateHas been set up to bring the ANM (a nurse-midwife), the ASHA (community mobiliser) and the Anganwadi worker (nutrition overseer) together.
These three categories of workers work to serve the same set of beneficiaries, but are not in touch with each other’s activities and work as single units.
The AAA platform facilitates bringing these units of workers together to exchange experiences, plan activities and review each other’s work leading to a coordinated effort that is more efficient.

Integrated AAA Application
StateIt is a unique application that links the ANM, ASHA and Anganwadi(AAA) workers together.
The app enables the AAA to use a common database, carry out their routine tasks with ease and maintain the integrity of data. It also generates essential government reports, provides an online supervision dashboard and enables referrals.

Rationalisation of Registers
StateThe frontline workers have to maintain various registers for record and monitoring purposes which may have repetitive fields leading to an extra burden for the grassroots workers.
The Foundation works with government agencies to make the service delivery registers and records easy to use. It carries out design changes such as eliminating repetitive columns, introducing a logical sequence and making them visually appealing leading to time savings, improvement of data quality and morale of health workers.
