  • Making the Digital Eco-System Disabled Friendly

In India, the accessibility of widely used apps for persons with disabilities was evaluated by Vidhi, I-Stem, and Mission Accessibility. The report presents evidence-based findings and practical recommendations for stakeholders to make services disabled-friendly, aligning with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The goal is to enable persons with disabilities to actively participate in the digital marketplace on par with able-bodied individuals, whether it's ordering food, socializing, or accessing various services through technology.

  • The Model Code on Indian Family Law

The Model Code on Indian Family Law, along with its accompanying commentary, presents a vision of a comprehensive, gender-just, and inclusive family law regime in modern India. In response to recent developments regarding marriage equality and the proposal for a Uniform Civil Code, the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy has released a draft family law code for public consultation. This draft code aims to be progressive, inclusive, and informed by constitutional principles of equality, dignity, and liberty. It seeks to recognize and protect the rights of all gender identities and sexual orientations, eliminate discriminatory provisions, and embrace the diversity of family structures prevalent in India. The draft covers three key areas: adult unions, parent-child relations, and succession.
