Thus, Jamiatul Qurra (Lucknow) was established with a foundation stone laid on the 10th of Shawwal-ul-Mukarram, 1415 A.H. (12th March 1995), marking the inception of a journey towards educational excellence. Under the stewardship of dedicated teachers, the institution rapidly gained renown for its commitment to quality education and attracted numerous students seeking proficiency in Qur'anic studies. Presently, the institution boasts a cadre of 25 teachers across various departments, serving approximately 450 students. These students, comprising both local and external learners, benefit from well-rounded facilities including boarding, food, and educational resources. Notably, after two years of operation, Jamiatul Qurra celebrated its inaugural academic graduation ceremony on the 8th of Jamadi Saani, 1418 A.H. (13th October 1997). The event featured an "All India Recitation Competition" alongside recitation demonstrations by renowned figures in the field. Moreover, it commemorated the graduation of 19 students from the Department of Qiraat, marking a significant milestone in the institution's contribution to nurturing proficient Hafiz and Qaris. Furthermore, in alignment with constitutional provisions safeguarding the rights of linguistic and religious minorities, Jamiatul Qurra benefits from Minority Certification under Article 30(1) of the Constitution of India. This certification underscores the institution's autonomy in establishing and administering educational initiatives in accordance with its religious and linguistic ethos.
