The Afternoon School programme of OM Foundation aims to bridge the gap in quality education by reaching out to underprivileged students who are unable to enrol in Government or private schools. It also targets school dropouts who are working but wish to complete their education. The objective is to cover 100-200 students aged 12 to 18 years, providing them with an improved understanding of basic subjects and imparting employability skills for higher classes. The programme focuses on registering dropouts under NIOS for certified education, emphasizing major subjects like English, Maths, and Science. Sustained mentoring is provided to establish a strong educational foundation, and computer education is supplemented. The programme also emphasizes value-based education to instil important moral principles in the students.
