These include psychological support and counselling services, reconstruction surgeries to minimise physical deformities and enhance physical appearance, physiotherapy to augment the functional abilities, creating legal awareness and providing legal assistance to seek justice, prevent domestic violence etc. Burn survivors undergo tremendous trauma in life owing to the excruciating pain, mangled physical appearance, lack of livelihood opportunities, economic deprivation, discrimination in families and society, social exclusion etc.
