Canara Bank Deshpande Rural Self Employment Training Institute (Regd.)

The Self-Employment Training Institute empowers unemployed youth by providing essential skills and knowledge for sustainable livelihoods. With 64 diverse courses approved by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, training spans 1 to 6 weeks, utilizing local resources to create alternative career opportunities. Areas of focus include agriculture, manufacturing, services, entrepreneurship development, and bamboo craftsmanship.

CBD RSETI drives holistic rural development through initiatives that strengthen self-help groups, provide skill development, and promote entrepreneurship, particularly among women. Efforts focus on environmental sustainability, water conservation, and improved healthcare access, including free health camps. Farmers receive training in modern agricultural techniques while social animators are empowered to lead community-driven change. By integrating these efforts, the goal is to unlock human potential, foster self-sufficiency, and build resilient rural communities.
