Over the past decade Headstreams has built its presence globally through networks in the fields of play pedagogy, promotion of 21st century life-skills and empowerment of individuals and communities. It has also earned a reputation as an advocate and facilitator of free play spaces that opens up opportunity for children and youth of marginalised socio-economic backgrounds to play, learn and change.

Over 16 years, Headstreams has impacted more than 18,000 children through play-based learning programmes, empowered over 1000 youth through employability and life-skills training, trained over 1000 women across 52 Self Help Groups to become entrepreneurs, and equipped more than 200 government school teachers to become empathetic teachers.

Anu akka's tackle kit
This kit contains an array of engaging materials including easy-to-read and enjoyable learning resources, art and craft supplies, indoor games, outdoor sports equipment, and more.
Designed to ignite children's curiosity and foster self-awareness and independence, the kit aims to inspire exploration of their interests and talents. To date, these complimentary kits have been distributed to Overcoming Learning Centers (OLCs) in over 30 underprivileged communities across Karnataka. The contents of the kits are replenished monthly based on the specific needs of each Anu Akka Tackle Centre, with OLCs receiving training to facilitate play-and-learn spaces for children.
Milestones & Track Record
Headstreams was awarded the NASSCOM Social Innovation Award in Education at the NASSCOM Social Innovation Forum 2017, recognized for outstanding support for TATA Affirmative Action Program in 2015, and selected as one of the Pioneers for the 'Re-imagine Learning Challenge' by Ashoka Changemakers and Lego Foundation.
