About the Organization Navya Disha, a registered Public Charitable Trust, has been dedicated to empowering underserved rural and urban-poor communiti Read morees since 2005. We collaborate closely with the communities we serve, gaining deep insights into their needs. Our approach involves executing impactful programs that address core challenges in education, health and hygiene, water and sanitation, women's empowerment, and climate change. Based in Bengaluru, our operations have extended across the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Our current focus involves channeling institutional energy into fostering self-employment and entrepreneurship among the youth in Karnataka. Creating a sustainable ecosystem plays a critical role in promoting entrepreneurship; it involves fostering an environment that provides knowledge, skills, resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Vision: Empower communities by fostering livelihoods, ensuring gender equality, and promoting environmental sustainability. Mission: Work with communities in the areas of water safety, sanitation, education and livelihoods, while enhancing their capacities to lead a quality life.

Impact

In FY 2023-24, Yuva Udyami benefited 1276 young people through entrepreneurship awareness programs. A cohort of 47 aspiring entrepreneurs have completed entrepreneurship development program and are ready to launch their micro-enterprises. Through Sushikshana, we have reached 55,553 students in 465 government and aided schools in 11 districts of 3 states. Through 3 Zero Clubs we have formed 221 youth clubs involving 1105 young people in 3 districts of Karnataka.

  • Yuva Udyami

    Yuva Udyami is an initiative focused on cultivating self-employment and entrepreneurship among youth residing in peri-urban and rural areas. Our model is designed to empower young individuals, fostering an ecosystem conducive to the growth of micro-enterprises, thereby bolstering employment opportunities in India. Through our entrepreneurship development program, we aim to assist aspiring entrepreneurs in establishing their own ventures by providing access to capital, ongoing post-investment support, and mentorship from seasoned experts and thereby, we strive to empower young individuals, enabling them to become self-sufficient and fostering positive impacts not only in their own lives but also within the broader community.

  • Sushikshana

    Sushikshana is a comprehensive life skills education program designed for high school students across government, and aided schools to empower children to become lifelong learners, make informed decisions, and realize their potential to lead healthy and productive lives.

  • 3 Zero Club

    The 3Zero Club is an initiative towards achieving the Nobel Peace Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus’s vision of creating a world of three zeros — zero net carbon emission, zero wealth concentration for ending poverty, and zero unemployment by unleashing entrepreneurship in all. The mission of the 3 Zero Club is to inspire and enable the youth to ideate, create and lead with the entrepreneurial spirit to solve the most pressing social and environmental issues of our time.
