The initiative's objectives have remained constant: offering low-income women in Mysore and the neighbouring countryside high-quality, affordable reproductive health treatments. Over 12,000 women in Mysore have embraced the chance with great enthusiasm, to obtain preventative treatments, medical advice, consultations, and health care at minimal or no cost. A physician, a nurse, a counsellor, and a laboratory microbiologist make up our clinical team.

In our clinic, we treat cervical cancer, and screen for it, and cryotherapy is used for precancerous lesions. Furthermore, we provide training to peer educators on the significance of cervical cancer screening, enabling them to disseminate this crucial information within their communities. To most effectively lower the occurrence of harmful diseases like cervical cancer, we have expanded the Prerana Initiative's reach outside the clinic's walls in this way. We enable women to become their own best advocates and stewards of good health by teaching them about their bodies and pertinent health issues.

Dr. Madhivanan's lifetime aim of combining HIV testing and Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission of HIV (PPTCT) with prenatal care and counselling in isolated rural areas surrounding Mysore City was realised with the launch of the Kisalaya Program. As a true nexus of patient care, research, health education, and community outreach, Kisalaya is our proud example of the PHRII philosophy. The Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation in the United States provided generous funding for this initiative.

The three main principles of our campaign are all focused on encouraging Indian women to use PPTCT services more often.
