Action

VJNNS constructs gravity fed water supply systems in tribal villages of Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam districts to make potable drinking water available to remote areas.

Impact

VJNNS has provided water for more than 360 villages using Gravity Fed Water Supply System (GFWSS) technology, benefiting thousands of people in tribal areas.

Vision & Mission

The organization aims to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable communities in 784 villages across Chintapalli and Munchingput blocks by ensuring access to clean water and promoting good sanitation practices.

Programs

  • Water survey

    In 2017, with support from the Infosys Foundation, VJNNS conducted a comprehensive water security survey across the entire Paderu division, involving 170 village volunteers. The survey results were compiled, and proposals were submitted to various organizations for further action. In 2021, VJNNS revisited all the villages with existing staff members to compare the new findings with the previous survey.

Milestones & Track Record

Tender Heart has grown from teaching two children of a local milkman to a thriving NGO that educates students up to class 5, supports special needs children, and has launched two sub-brands: Zena and Zoonie for women's empowerment.
