  • Strengthening Rural Economy

    District

    The program aims to uplift the economy of ten villages in the backward Trimbakeshwar Taluka of Nashik district, where the majority rely on limited seasonal cultivation and migration for work. By providing support and fostering local initiatives, the program seeks to break the cycle of poverty through enhanced agricultural productivity and the creation of new opportunities. The villages, eager for change, are committed to improving their economic conditions, with the program’s intervention focused on developing sustainable solutions for long-term economic stability and overall well-being.

    District

    Shodhini is an action research project conducted in ten rural communities in Nashik, Maharashtra, focused on the education and lives of young women. Led by young women who have dropped out of formal education, the project helps them develop research skills to understand barriers they face in education, marriage, and livelihoods. Over a hundred girls, aged 14-25, conducted surveys and studies on gender, education, and life skills, empowering them to take leadership roles in their communities. The project amplifies their voices, enabling them to influence decision-making and promote positive change in their villages.
