Programs

  • Birth Parent Child Admission(BPCA) Programme

BSSK's BPCA programme supports children aged 0-6 through counselling, investigations, and rehabilitation, ensuring the well-being of birth parents, both minor and adult, along with family members. It operates within the framework of the JJ Act 2015 and the POSCO Act 2012 (for minor birth mothers) or the Mental Health Act (for mentally ill birth parents). The organisation handles these interventions with utmost care, addressing the birth mother's physical, emotional, social, antenatal, and postnatal needs, preserving birth families, and facilitating child adoption. Legal investigations, such as tracing the family of abandoned children, are an integral part of its work, offering vital support to birth mothers and families in need.

  • Child Care Programme

Bhartiya Samaj Seva Kendra (BSSK) is dedicated to child care, recognizing children's rights to survival and protection, especially during the crucial formative years of the first six. It tailors individualized plans to meet each child's unique needs. Children receive care through residential settings, where they are grouped by age, or in foster homes, all emphasizing personalized attention and nurturing. BSSK's holistic approach ensures children's overall development, including medical care, therapy, counselling, recreational activities, social skill enhancement, physical and emotional well-being, and formal and informal education. It also provides rehabilitation through alternative services, fostering an environment of love, trust, and care to help each child thrive securely.

  • Adoption Facilitation Programme

Bhartiya Samaj Seva Kendra (BSSK) is committed to the principle of "Building Families, not Institutions." Its primary goal is to secure suitable permanent homes for orphaned and destitute children through Domestic and Inter-country Adoptions. BSSK diligently adheres to the regulations outlined in the JJ Act 2015, Adoption Regulations, court directives, and its agency experiences, ensuring a well-informed process for prospective adoptive parents. The adoption process encompasses various stages, including the CARINGS Process, Home Study Reports, child acceptance procedures, legal formalities, follow-up visits, pre and post-adoption workshops, counselling, and support services for adoptees. BSSK also facilitates events such as family gatherings and homecoming tours to strengthen the bond between adoptive families and children in need, recognizing adoption as a beautiful means of nurturing relationships and building families.

  • Education Support & Community Services Programme

Bhartiya Samaj Seva Kendra (BSSK) champions educational support and community services, recognizing that poverty can lead to school dropouts, destitution, juvenile delinquency, and institutionalization. BSSK's mission is to ensure early education, help children stay with their families and strengthen the family unit through support and assistance programmes. Its activities include maintaining a library, promoting basic literacy, offering parenting sessions and counselling for both children and parents, and providing school support with books, stationery, and even cycles. BSSK goes the extra mile by considering tuition and bus fees for higher education opportunities, conducting Pallavi family life education sessions, organising camps and events, and promoting activities for holistic development. In doing so, BSSK strives to grant every child the opportunity to access education, empowering them to become responsible and capable citizens.
