  • Palliative Care - Satseva - India’s first free Home Care Program for cancer

    Programme for Patient Outreach SATSEVA was introduced on December 1st, 1994.
    It was introduced as a service to help poor cancer patients in Pune City directly at their door. Enhancing the quality of residual life was the main goal. In addition to providing supportive care equipment and much-needed social and psychological assistance to patients and their families, the services also include pain management and symptom control. Palliative care is offered per World Health Organisation recommendations.

  • Matruseva - Care of the Under Privileged women

    The women receive free gynaecological consultations, prenatal counselling, and treatment at a low fee of Rs. 20/-which includes registration and free medication. Every year, free cancer screenings for women are conducted, and in cases where early lesions are found, free surgical procedures like LEEP/Caterization are provided. There are currently two MATRUSEVA clinics, and each year more than sixteen hundred women become new recipients. Pathology investigations are provided by a specialised "MATRUSEVA PATHOLOGY LABORATORY" at heavily discounted rates—less than 40% of the going rate.
