Programs

  • Childhood to Livelihood Approach

This is a programme intended for children between twelve to eighteen years of age. Magic Bus prepares these children and young people to be successful in life and come out of poverty.

It motivates young people and children to act against issues like early marriage and child labour, to go ahead and complete secondary education successfully. Its livelihood programme then equips them and connects them to appropriate opportunities.

The programme features life skills education, education enhancement, employability skills education, livelihood connect and community connect.

  • Youth Skilling Programme

Magic Bus through its Youth Skilling Programme ventures to equip poor youth with 21st-century skills of teamwork, communication, problem-solving, managing self and work readiness.

The programme offers skills through experiential learning, mentoring and activity-based learning. The candidates preferred for training are from eighteen to twenty-five years whose family income does not exceed one lakh twenty thousand Rupees in a year and who have completed their matriculation or higher secondary.

Training is conducted for a period of three months at the Magic Bus livelihood centre and results in job placements, enabling the youth to bring their families out of poverty.

  • Adolescent Education Programme

Focuses on teaching life skills to students enabling them to complete their secondary education. It empowers them to break away from malpractices like child marriage and labour.

The programme delivers education in an improved way through activity-based life-skills sessions, academic support, imparting knowledge in the space of financial literacy, career, digital citizenship and sexual and reproductive health and also involves the key players in the education ecosystem to ensure support for the child’s future.
