Founded on 7th April 1967 under the visionary leadership of Late Her Highness Chhatrapati Rajmata Sumitra Raje Bhosle and the tireless efforts of Shri Read more Babasaheb Purandare, the Maharaja Shivachhatrapati Pratishthan is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history, culture, and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Over the past five decades, Babasaheb has inspired generations through over 10,000 historical lectures.

  • Research & Education

    Various projects undertaken by Pratishthan have created a platform to engage with the glorious past & celebrate the cultural wealth of our land. However, to accomplish these tasks, a multidisciplinary team has been involved for research & development work. The team has been actively working on a study of various aspects of Shivacharitra, such as strategic planning, warfare tactics, management & administration, ethnography, etc.. Along with these subject-based research, Pratishthan has also commissioned scientific documentation of historic sites, mainly Maratha forts.
