Mission Jeevan, an initiative by Mission for Vision, addresses the critical issue of retinoblastoma, a prevalent form of eye cancer affecting young children. With over 2,500 cases diagnosed annually in India alone, early detection and treatment are imperative. Through timely screening, counselling, financial assistance, and treatment, the programme ensures that 95% of diagnosed children survive, 90% retain their eyes, and 85% maintain their vision. Additionally, it raises awareness among medical professionals and the public while advocating for policy changes to improve retinoblastoma management.
