Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation provides support to various civic society initiatives to uplift economically and socially challenged communities. In orde Read morer to achieve its objectives the Foundation collaborates with government bodies and NGOs to enable and enhance the process of education, health care and economic empowerment. The Foundation works towards providing better access to health care facilities to the marginalised and vulnerable sections of society through collaborating with public and private institutions and civil society organisations that execute public health interventions. It promotes academic excellence by encouraging candidates across India to access quality higher education through the provision of a variety of scholarships to students who have demonstrated their academic excellence and all-round development. Also, it supports educational institutions through a range of chairs and fellowships that enable research. Further, it also collaborates with civil society organisations in development of education sector. Additionally, the Foundation funds projects and programmes that work towards improving the skills and employability of people across the nation. It provides support to rural communities through its initiatives in vocational training, water management techniques, income generation, health, education, women empowerment, rural development, agriculture based livelihood development and skill-based livelihoods development. In addition to this, foundation in collaboration with the UN-Habitat has founded the India Youth Fund to assist youth-led organisations that are working towards sustainable development across cities and towns in India. It aims to increase the opportunities for the youth in areas such as access to health, employment, affordable housing, secure land tenure, safer cities, and participation in decision-making and governance structures, thereby contributing towards sustainable urbanisation.
