High Altitude Trekking in the Himalayan region
Every May, the mentally challenged undertake challenging expeditions in the grand Himalayas, ascending to heights ranging between 10,000 to 12,000 feet as part of the high-altitude trekking program. This remarkable journey commenced in May 2006 and has continued for eight consecutive years. This expedition is available to MCF members aged 18 and above. Schools from both Mumbai and Nashik send their MCF participants to join in the annual high-altitude treks across the Himalayas. Moreover, the Parvati Hill Climbing Contest, initiated in 2009, is an inclusive event welcoming participants from various schools . Approximately sixteen to eighteen schools and workshops actively engage and participate in this remarkable event.

Jal Dindi
Jal Dindi is a unique voyage traveling from Alandi to Pandharpur via waterways. During this journey, the mentally challenged conduct street plays addressing critical environmental concerns such as river conservation, noise pollution, and plastic waste management. These educational plays are performed in schools, colleges, and for local audiences in villages and hamlets along the route. The regular activities also include trekking to various forts and hills in and around Pune, a fundamental part of our routine. These expeditions often witness the participation of numerous friends and volunteers, particularly from IT companies, who join us on these treks, infusing enthusiasm and energy while inspiring our Friends. Among our preferred destinations are Shivneri, Taljai, Raireshwar, Neelkanteshwar, and Nane Ghat.

Traffic Discipline
The Traffic Discipline Drive is a recurring monthly event organized by Navkshitij. During this initiative, the mentally challenged members hold placards at significant intersections across the city, aiming to educate the public about the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and maintaining road discipline. This activity allows us to witness the compassionate side of the hardworking police personnel. The members hold immense admiration for the police force and cherish the opportunity to bond over a cup of tea and snacks. This interaction is mutually appreciated, fostering a positive relationship between the members and the police officers.

The Navkshitij Adventure Club, dedicated exclusively to the mentally challenged, stands as a proud accomplishment. It all began with a four-day Pune-Lonavla walkathon in November 2003, and since then, the adventure endeavors have seen remarkable success. These include thrilling treks to forts and hills in the Pune vicinity, a spirited Parvati Hill climbing competition, and the Jal Dindi initiative, involving boat travel from Alandi to Pandharpur. Along the journey, the participants engage in street plays to convey the message of preserving river cleanliness to villagers residing in the hamlets along the route. Additionally, the club offers activities such as parasailing, zorbing, river crossing, rappelling, and paragliding in the Himalayan region.
