Programs

  • Mentoring

Sarthak has taken up the responsibility of 25 students enrolled in 10th grade across multiple schools in Pune, hailing from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. It is committed to supporting them for the next five years, aiding their journey toward self-sufficiency and financial independence. Each student is paired with a dedicated mentor, providing guidance and support throughout their developmental journey. It has conducted a series of workshops encompassing study skills, career guidance, creative writing, sports, aptitude, and psychometric testing, ensuring continuous monitoring of their progress.

  • Skill enhancement training program

Sarthak encourages young individuals to either develop vocational skills or pursue higher education upon completing secondary school. It empowers young and impressionable students to make informed choices by providing support through career counselling, dedicated educational assistance, and timely guidance and training.
In India, many youths base their career decisions on prevailing beliefs, job availability, parental guidance, and societal expectations. Sarthak aims to intervene by engaging adolescents from various schools. The foundation is committed to economically empowering students in rural districts by offering career counselling and imparting multiple soft skills training. This initiative aims to equip underprivileged students with the capacity to explore and pursue suitable employment or self-employment opportunities.

  • Village adoption movement

Through the village adoption movement project, Sarthak enhances community understanding among individuals. It fosters a sense of empowerment among community members and motivates active engagement in future community initiatives. It improves connections between schools and the community and guides the enthusiasm and energy of young individuals to address local needs alongside community leaders and citizens. By involving students in decision-making processes, the conventional dynamics between adults and youth evolve, transforming from a model where youth merely receive instructions to one where both adults and youth collaborate as active team members.

  • Education

Sarthak provides financial aid to support the education of deserving, needy, and economically disadvantaged individuals. It offers mentoring assistance to deserving students by linking them with growth-oriented partners. It also delivers career counselling services, including aptitude testing and guidance, to adolescents seeking career support. Sarthak renders academic support by organizing workshops, activities, and projects, encompassing both academic and non-academic realms, including conducting 20 crucial life skill sessions in schools. It conducts career courses, workshops, and awareness programs in collaboration with schools and educational institutions catering to diverse age groups.

  • Health

    Sarthak organised the following activities:
    • Organized workshops advocating mental and physical health awareness across all age groups.
    • Engaged various age segments through lectures, seminars, conferences, and health camps to promote well-being.
    • Offered psychometric testing, psychological counselling, and continuous support services.
    • Conducted skill development programs for individuals with physical challenges.
    • Provided medical aid to economically disadvantaged children in the Mulshi area.
    • Hosted workshops targeting parents of adolescents.
    • Established support groups and training initiatives for caregivers of individuals with mental illnesses.

To promote empowerment, Sarthak conducted a workshop on "Legal Rights of Women in Household and the Power of Decision Making" for women residing in remote villages of Ambi, Navlak Umbre, and Badalwadi.
