The Social Justice and Inclusion portfolio of the Tata Trusts takes a comprehensive approach to social issues, aiming to identify underlying causes and including intersectional perspectives when formulating solutions.
The Trusts support the Social Justice portfolio through leveraging cross-linkages with the Tata Water Mission and other portfolios such as Education, Health, Skilling, Livelihoods, Sports, and Migration. For instance, the Trusts use an integrated strategy through communities and schools to lower child sexual abuse, violence against children, and other issues in areas where the prevalence of such crimes is high. Similar to how it is difficult to distinguish between migration, stressed migration, and human trafficking, efforts aimed at reducing stressed migration would also aid in the decrease of human trafficking.
