Programs

  • Women Empowerment Programme

The Trishul Women Empowerment Programme (TWEP) aims to uplift economically disadvantaged women in urban slums and rural villages by fostering traditional arts and crafts through skill development. Trishul conducts complimentary skill courses encompassing tailoring, hand embroidery, and traditional art forms like Madhubani and Warli. Courses also cover beautician training, hair styling, crafting home decor, jewellery, bags, and more. The generated income from these handcrafted products serves as a reliable livelihood source for women, contributing to the welfare of families and communities. Beyond skills, TWEP offers health check-ups, counselling, yoga, and plans to address urban malnutrition through daily nutrition programmes.

  • Trishul Learning Centre Programme

Trishul Learning Centre (TLC) offers a comprehensive learning and mentoring space for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in urban slums and rural villages. TLC's mission is to establish a strong educational foundation, foster self-esteem, and impart values, empowering children to realize their full potential and become self-reliant, responsible citizens. Recognizing education and life skills as pivotal, Trishul envisions them as pathways for marginalized youth to integrate into the economy and improve their quality of life. TLC provides a multifaceted education encompassing academics, activity-based learning, value education, mentoring, counselling, field trips, play, self-study, cultural activities, arts, sports, and expert career guidance. Through its holistic approach, TLC aims to nurture well-rounded development, with plans to introduce scholarship programmes to further support children's growth.

  • Hand Crafted Products Programme

As part of the Trishul Women Empowerment Programme (TWEP), Trishul creates exquisite handcrafted products that blend delicate hand embroidery with elegant Warli and intricate Madhubani paintings. These creations, meticulously crafted and packaged by women from economically disadvantaged communities, exemplify TWEP's commitment to supporting marginalized women from urban slums and rural regions, while simultaneously reviving traditional art forms. The sales proceeds from these products establish a reliable income source for the women, reflecting Trishul's dedication to fostering self-sufficiency and uplifting families through women's empowerment. As Trishul expands its training and support to more women, it envisions an even greater positive impact on countless families, recognizing the transformative power of empowering women.

  • Disaster Response Programme

Its Disaster Management Programme equips communities with essential skills to navigate various emergency scenarios, including floods, fires, earthquakes, tsunamis, health crises, and more. By conducting awareness workshops, this initiative empowers individuals to respond effectively during natural or man-made disasters. Operating through a Community-Based Disaster Risk Management Programme, the organization introduces specialized training courses to bolster community preparedness and instil a sense of Individual Social Responsibility. The curriculum encompasses crucial topics such as first aid, disaster causes and effects, resource utilization, logistics, and principles of disaster management. Through comprehensive workshops featuring written and practical assessments, participants gain the knowledge and confidence to contribute to disaster response and recovery efforts.
