Aarohi Blood Bank (ABB) is dedicated to providing free blood components to Thalassemic children and children with leukaemia. Thalassemia, a progressive anaemia disorder due to abnormal haemoglobin formation, affects a significant percentage of the population, with 10,000 new Thalassemia cases added annually in India. ABB has successfully handled over 29,000 collections and approximately 49,500 issuances of blood and blood components, with 17,500 provided free of cost to beneficiaries with Thalassemia and Leukemia. The support comes from diverse segments, including corporates, higher education institutions, international organisations, and community centres during special occasions and event-based camps.
