With a noble aim to build a Tribal Health Platform, Piramal Swasthya works in remote mountainous locations of Vishakhapatnam’s Araku valley, which is inhabited by tribal people. The tribal population has maximum instances of maternal and child deaths and bringing appropriate healthcare facilities here would mean a significant decrease in national averages and improving healthcare indexes.
Its D.E.S.H((Detect early & save her/him) initiative is a community cancer screening programme wherein the team visits the village with equipment and cancer screening is conducted in a bid to detect the disease and commence suitable treatment early enough to save lives.

The organisation works in partnership with the NITI Aayog on two important initiatives. The first one is the improvement of health and nutrition indicators of twenty-five districts across seven states and including strengthening infrastructure and service providers, building capacity and reaching beneficiaries.
The second initiative is to provide consultation to the SATH((Sustainable Action for Transforming Human Capital) programme which would help a State transform its healthcare systems as a whole.
Its A.M.R.I.T(Accessible Medical Records via Integrated Technologies) is an integrated platform to create and store primary healthcare records. Each beneficiary is identified in the system through unique ID's and helps in tracking and management. The system will lead to a standard practice being developed to provide quality medical care.

It provides the facility of telemedicine which is a 24x7 service to lighten the load on the public health delivery system. Since telemedicine removes the need for the physical presence of the doctor and the patient at the same location, the reach of healthcare is greatly extended enabling it to touch remote and vulnerable sections of society.
To aid medical facilities further, it operates fully equipped mobile medical vans in partnership with Governments and corporates that drive to rural areas to provide essential medical services.
It is a partner in CSR activities to many organisations like Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Ltd, Asian Paints and United Nations Development Programme and helps them implement healthcare initiatives for the public good.
