The "Improved Agriculture Practices" project, funded by ITC's "Mission Sunehra Kal," is being implemented by Jan Nirman Kendra in Smastipur district. This annual project for 2019-20 is the fifth in a series initiated in 2015-16. It aims to enhance productivity through modern agriculture practices, machinery, and sustainable techniques, focusing on wheat and paddy cultivation, mushroom production, and farmer training. The project targets the Samastipur district, characterized by small land holdings and a predominantly agricultural economy. Its objectives include forming "Custom Hiring Centers," promoting modern farming, improving soil quality, and creating sustainable farm-based businesses.
